PNOC Renewables Corporation (PNOC RC) is included among the Top 10 Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) for 2018. In the Exit Conference on the Corporate Governance Scorecard Results organized by the Governance Commission for Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GCG), the results of the GCG appraisal of GOCC performance in relation to the internationally-accepted Corporate Governance Scorecard was presented. The said event was held on 7 March 2019 at the GCG Training Room in Makati City and was attended by the representatives of the various GOCCs.

In summary, there were three (3) main classifications of the GCG Corporate Governance Scorecard, namely: Stakeholder Relationships, Disclosure and Transparency, and Responsibilities of the Board. PNOC RC was able to garner a total of 86.5 out of a maximum of 100 points, which is among the highest GOCC scores. This is the second time that the company has been recognized as one of the Top 10 GOCCs since GCG implemented the assessment system.

  • Government Service Insurance System
  • Land Bank of the Philippines
  • LBP Leasing and Finance Corporation
  • Masaganang Sakahan, Inc.
  • Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation
  • Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation
  • PNOC Exploration Corporation
  • PNOC Renewables Corporation
  • Social Security System

This news came as a meaningful source of pride and joy to the company as they coincidentally celebrate their 11th Year Anniversary on this date. PNOC RC is humbled that the young organization was recognized by the government as one of the excellent GOCCs in the Philippines on its milestone. Given more opportunities to partner with the public and private sectors, the company will strive harder to fulfill its mission to provide renewable energy and promote energy efficiency to enhance the quality of life of the Filipino people.
